Quick guide – processing in 6 steps
- Preparation: Thoroughly degrease and dust-free the surface; suitable for metal and suitable plastics (e.g., ABS, PC).
- Basecoat: Create a smooth, adhesive surface using a system-compatible primer/basecoat.
- Chrome Design Paint: Apply undiluted in thin mist coats; allow to flash off briefly between coats.
- Fixing: Apply 1K binder thinly and evenly; stabilizes the effect layer.
- Clear coat: Apply 2K clear coat (high gloss) in 1-2 coats to ensure full coverage; avoid runs.
- Drying & QS: Allow to fully cure; visual/adhesion inspection, document parameters.

Is the paint being thinned?
No – use undiluted, apply thinly, and allow to dry slightly between coats.
What is the purpose of the 1K binder?
It fixes the effect layer and improves the recoatability before the 2K clear coat.
Which clear varnishes are suitable?
2K clear coats (high gloss) according to data sheet; UV-resistant and abrasion-resistant.
How long should I let it dry?
Guideline: approx. 30 minutes at 30 °C – depending on layer thickness and environment.
