About us: A brief overview and our work
The team consists of the technology developers from WT-DIRECT GmbH in Schorndorf, Swabia. Ms. Köster heads the commercial department, and Noah Hofmann manages the WTD training center. All departments are located under one roof. Since 1998, WT-DIRECT has been synonymous with water transfer printing, mirror coating, and chrome design paint. These three finishing techniques are used for parts and objects of all kinds, giving customers a completely new, sophisticated look. "Perhaps because they want to stand out from the 'uniform gray' of modern industrial design with individual components of their car, surfboard, cell phone case, or other everyday objects," says Noah Hofmann.
Water transfer printing with many designs
Water transfer printing uses a special printed film and, if desired, a new base coat to give the chosen object a completely new look. Over 2,000 designs are available, and custom designs based on your own templates can also be processed. "Basically, it's the same principle we all know from decals – but of course, at a sophisticated, high technical level."
The mirrored coating technique – high gloss!
Mirroring technology transforms formerly unremarkable objects into truly radiant objects. The finishing process, developed and patented by WT-DIRECT, transforms rims, Smart car seats, motorcycle helmets, and much more into chrome-gleaming prestige items. The result is in no way inferior to that achieved with electroplating – on the contrary: it all works without the environmentally harmful side effects of electroplating and is also more affordable.
