Step-by-step application
1. Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, free of grease and, if necessary, sanded.
2. Apply primer: A suitable primer can improve adhesion, depending on the substrate.
3. Cut the film to size: Cut the film to the desired size.
4. Prepare the water bath: Fill a tub with lukewarm water (approx. 27°C).
5. Insert film: Place the film I-090-8 with the printed side facing up onto the water and let it soak in for about 60 seconds.
6. Apply activator: The activator dissolves the carrier layer and prepares the I-090-8 film for transfer.
7. Immersion of the object: Slowly immerse the object in the water through the film.
8. Rinsing & Drying: Rinse off residues with clean water and allow the surface of film I-090-8 to dry thoroughly.
9. Sealing: Finally, apply a protective coat of varnish to permanently fix the design.
