Sink for water transfer printing

Special rinsing basin for the even and clean removal of the dissolved PVA film residues after dipping – the perfect step between dipping and drying/clear coat.

Optimized for hydrographics / water transfer printing Gentle rinsing without damaging the layer

Product description

This rinse basin was specially developed for use in water transfer printing. After the dipping process, the dissolved PVA film residues can be rinsed off in a controlled and gentle manner without damaging the freshly activated and transferred decorative layer.

The shape of the basin ensures that the water flows evenly over the workpiece and that the film residue is reliably removed. This creates a clean base for drying, inspection, and subsequent clear coat application.

💧 Gentle rinsing
🔄 Perfect addition to the diving facility
🧽 Clean, residue-free surface

Advantages & Features

  • Specifically designed for hydrographics / water transfer printing
  • Gentle removal of the loosened PVA film residue
  • Ideal for small to medium-sized components (interior, wheel rims, trim strips, etc.)
  • Smooth-walled design for easy cleaning of the basin.
  • Robust design suitable for continuous use
  • Improves process reliability between dip and clear coat.
  • Clean surfaces = less rework and fewer complaints.

Application in the process

Typical process in water transfer printing:

  • 1. Immersion process in the water transfer printing tank
  • 2. Short drying time (drip over the immersion basin)
  • 3. Directly transferring the workpiece into the washing-up basin
  • 4. Rinse off the loosened PVA film evenly.
  • 5. Surface inspection & subsequent drying
  • 6. Apply clear coat after complete drying.
💡 Tip: For the final rinse, ideally use clean water with the lowest possible conductivity to avoid reactions under the clear coat.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about the Sink

Is the basin only suitable for water transfer printing?

The focus is on its use in water transfer printing, but it can also be used for other rinsing operations in pre- or post-treatment, as long as the media used are compatible.

How long should the rinsing time be?

Rinse until no slimy or slippery PVA residue is perceptible and the surface appears clean. Insufficient rinsing can lead to adhesion problems and defects under the clear coat.

Can regular tap water be used?

Yes, in principle that's possible. However, for optimal results, we recommend rinsing with the cleanest possible water (low conductivity) at the end to minimize any subsequent reactions in the clear coat.

How is the pool cleaned?

After use, rinse briefly with water and remove any remaining PVA residue mechanically. This will keep the basin clean and ready for use for longer.
